Welcome to the RES library!

Welcome back! We are ready for another great year at RES! Students have access to a plethora of databases  and books through our library. Visit the home page of Destiny online catalog to see more. Your child may have up to 5 books on their account, I suggest they only checkout 2 when they visit the library. This way if they forget their books they can still check out a couple of books when they visit with their class. Students in 2nd-4th grade may come and exchange their books on an as need basis. The check out period is for two weeks, then your child may check out the materials for another two weeks if the book does not have a hold placed on it. We do not charge late fees, however, we do charge for lost or damaged materials.

To login to your child's account to see what books they have checked out, go to destiny.southlakecarroll.edu (link on a tab here in the blog and my homepage as well). Here your child can read books online, place books on hold, search the catalog, access databases and more on the home page. Username: s# without s, password: dragons. For more information about library programs, please check out other tabs here on the blog for Birthday buddies, Destiny online catalog, Library resources, Sora, and Book Fair.

I'm so excited that I have some Birthday Buddies already! Our new books will be on their way soon and I can't wait to celebrate your child's birthday with a new book. If you missed the sign-up during registration you can print the one here on my blog. There is a tab just for Birthday buddies with the form. I'll be asking DVA students to send me a picture ( I use passport size) and I'll give you choices of some books that you may select from or you may wait until you join us on campus to select.  FTF students will be selecting here in the library and I'll snap a picture of your child to place in the book. Happy Reading!!
